Sian Doherty - Activity Lead and Sport Coach

Sian setup Multisport Social Health and Wellbeing in April 2016 along with Leighton Clark with the mission to provide socially inclusive sports and fitness activities to adults with learning disabilities and additional needs within the community. Sian previously worked for Newport City Council and has gained over 23yrs experience working with adults with learning disabilities. Sian is qualified in Fitness Instructing, Gym Based Exercise and is a Golf Activator. She  is a member of REPS (Register of Exercise Pofessionals) and is also trained in all necessary health, safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity. Sian has previously played football competitively and now enjoys running, cycling and golf.

Leighton Clark - " Empowerment is not just a word - Inclusion means everyone"

Leighton setup Multisport Social Health and Wellbeing in April 2016 with Sian and shares her mission to provide socially inclusive sports and fitness activities to adults with learning disabilities.  Leighton previously worked for Newport City Council and Torfaen Borough Council where he gained extensive experience of adults with learning disabilities over 20 years. Leighton is qualified in Fitness Instructing, Gym Based Exercise, Archery (Level 1 & Level 2) and Wales rugby Union Level 1 and 2. Leighton has a NVQ in promoting independence and is trained in all aspects of  health, safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity.  Leighton has had a long and illustrious Rugby Playing background representing Garndiffaith and later turned to Rugby coaching. He has previously coached Blaenavon, Garndiffaith and now coaches Croesyceiloog RFC. He also attempts to play Golf occasionally!!!



Bethan Parsons - Support Worker,  Sport Coach & Zumba Instructor

Beth joined the Multisport Social Health and Wellbeing family in June 2018. Beth has been working in the care sector for over 15 years gaining vast experience with adults with learning disability. She has recently qualified in Gym Based Exercise, Fitness Instructing, Zumba Fitness and Exercise to Dance. Beth also has a degree in Sociology and is   trained in all aspects of health, safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity.

Nathan Owen - Volunteer

Nathan has been volunteering at Multisport Social Health and Wellbeing since the project started in 2016. Nathan helps out in many areas and is a important person  making sure the activities run smoothly.  In 2017 Nathan's effort were rewarded when he won Volunteer of the Year.

Andrew Doherty - Volunteer

Andrew has volunteered with Multisport Social Health and Wellbeing since it started in 2016. Andrew help out with  the smooth operation of all business aspects of Multisport ensuring Sian, Leighton, Beth and the Volunteers can focus on delivering exiting, engaging and inclusive session for everybody. Andrew has over 25 years experience in Engineering, Project & Business Management, Quality and Health & Safety which he use to support Multisport Activities.
